Study Visit to the Glasgow Caledonian University
After the Study Visit to the University of Alicante the ENHANCE consortium moved to the United Kingdom, where the Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) hosted its Study Visit.
The eight Vietnamese institutions had the opportunity to learn GCU practice in terms of research management, technology transfer and links with industry. Project partners had an in-depth look at Research Excellence and Innovation Management in the UK and at GCU, meeting with Research and Innovation Managers from GCU. They also met interdisciplinary teams of researcher that included health professionals and bioengineers with strong profile of external research funding and international collaborators in academia, SMEs and industry.
During the second day, project partners were showed how to identify and exploit opportunities by supporting companies to compete, helping to build globally competitive sectors, attracting new investment and creating a world-class business environment.
Finally, the Innovation in Social Sciences was introduced by showing the evaluation of the impact of social business creation on the lives and health of disadvantaged communities in Glasgow and overseas.
