1st Round Table “The importance of Higher Education for the economic development”
The 1st ENHANCE Round Table “The Importance of Higher Education for the Economic Development” has been hosted by VNU University of Social Sciences, Hanoi (USSH) in Hanoi, Vietnam last 5th October 2016.
The main aim of this round table was to exchange ideas on the importance of Higher Education for the economic development to encourage dialogue and strengthen cooperation links and partnerships among academia, researchers, industries/private sector and policy makers in Vietnam.
Following a presentation on the ENHANCE project and on the preliminary findings of the in-depth need analysis on R&I management and implementation in Vietnam carried out by project partners, the round table focused on “The Importance of Higher Education for the Economic Development” was conducted. The objective of the 1st ENHANCE Round Table was to foster a discussion on possible improvements and strategy for Research and Innovation management at national and institutional level. The Round Table has brought together managers and researchers from Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutes, Science and Technology authorities and relevant stakeholders in Vietnam.
Following the Round Table, an ENHANCE Coordination Meeting, took place in which UA presented the up-to-date workplan and goals of the ENHANCE project and the next workshop that will take place in Hue City and will be hosted by Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF).
